Volleyball Recap: Labrae's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If LaBrae was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Southeast last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Crestview Rebels on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-11.

Crestview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Valerie Boyd, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Boyd has posted over her last six contests.

LaBrae's defeat ended an eight-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5. As for Crestview, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.

LaBrae and Crestview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Vikings will challenge Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (259 vs. 669). Meanwhile, Crestview (ranked 113th) will meet Girard (ranked 479th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
