Softball Recap: Kaiser Gets the Win

Kaiser was handed an eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Victor Valley Jackrabbits 13-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Jessica Haro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Retana, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

The win got Kaiser back to even at 1-1. As for Victor Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Kaiser will take on Ramona at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Cats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Victor Valley, they will face off against Cajon at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
