Dillingham extends road losing streak to six

The Dillingham Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of Bristol Bay by a score of 31-28. Dillingham was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bristol Bay apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Bristol Bay was led to victory by Brooke Phelps and Olivia Harvilla. Phelps scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Harvilla scored 23 points along with two blocks.

Dillingham bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bristol Bay, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Dillingham won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Newhalen at 1:15 p.m. on January 11th. As for Bristol Bay, they will be playing at home against Tri-Valley at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
