Soccer Game Preview: Elgin vs. Ridgewood

The Elgin Maroons will head out on the road to challenge the Ridgewood Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Elgin is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Elgin's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against McHenry, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that Elgin have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Ridgewood came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They and Resurrection finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday. The result was nothing new for Ridgewood as the squad has yet to pick up a win this season.

Elgin pushed their record up to 9-0-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Ridgewood's draw makes their record 0-3-2 this season.
