Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Patriots vs. Dodge County Indians + Official Tickets

Southwest has gone 8-2 against Dodge County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Patriots just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Indians at 7:30 p.m. Southwest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Dodge County likes a good challenge.

Southwest is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Westside: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Patriots blew the Seminoles out of the water with a 69-34 final score. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Seminoles are ranked 403rd) , the win on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southwest relied on the efforts of Chase Dupree, who shot 54% from the field en route to 32 points, and Caron 'CJ' Howard, who went 8-for-19 to rack up 29 points. Dupree's big performance that evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.

Meanwhile, Dodge County came up short against Vidalia on Saturday and fell 59-47. The contest marked Dodge County's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Southwest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Dodge County fell to 4-1.

Everything went Southwest's way against Dodge County in their previous meeting back in January, as Southwest made off with a 69-47 victory. In that contest, the Patriots amassed a halftime lead of 43-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
