Mt. Spokane proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Post Falls Trojans. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won four contests in a row dating back to last season.

Mt. Spokane was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-101), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13.

Post Falls lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Claire Ziegler, who had 19 assists and four digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Carr, who had 14 digs and four aces.

Mt. Spokane's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Post Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Spokane will square off against Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Post Falls, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mead on the 10th.
