The Millington Central Trojans stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 65-24 victory over Covington on the road. The victory was nothing new for Millington Central as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Millington Central was led to victory by Kaitlyn Holmes and Alana Whiten. Holmes scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Whiten scored 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holmes has scored all season. Ayanna Ransom was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Millington Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Covington, they now have a losing record at 15-16.
Millington Central will look to defend their home court on Saturday against South Gibson at 7:00 p.m. Millington Central is coming into the matchup with nine straight victories at home, so South Gibson will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
