Soccer Game Preview: Hargrave vs. Navasota

The Hargrave Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Navasota Rattlers at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Hargrave's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Hargrave's offense. They fell just short of Ranchview by a score of 1-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Navasota's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Alvarado who was credited with the victory. The loss was the Rattlers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Navasota fell to 3-1. As for Hargrave, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Hargrave was able to grind out a solid win over Navasota in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hargrave since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
