After losing to Martinsville the last time they met, Oblong decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers blew past the Bluestreaks 50-14 on Friday. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Oblong's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Blessing, who rushed for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Blessing also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Panthers are 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Another rusher making a difference was Caden Goodwin, who gained 165 total yards and two touchdowns.
