Basketball Recap: Greenback Comes Up Short

Greenback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 48-34 bruising from the Rockwood Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cherokees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-23 back in December of 2024.

Rockwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Darby led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Darby a new career-high. Collin Abston was another key player, going 6 of 15 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Greenback's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Rockwood, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.

Greenback has already played their next game (against Oakdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rockwood has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Harriman.
