Softball Recap: Fairmont Senior Polar Bears vs. Robert C. Byrd Eagles

Fairmont Senior's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Robert C. Byrd Eagles. With that win, the Polar Bears brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Kylo Dodd made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
