League recap: Woodstock win leads to rise in state rank

Woodstock moved up to 152 from 187 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAAAA Region 5.

The Wolverines made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,719 from 4,655.

Wheeler's Elijah Staley and Emanuel Beal have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Staley has thrown for 673 yards this season, while Beal has 15 catches for 273 yards. Tyren Jones from Walton leads the league in rushing with 1120 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Lassiter takes on second place Milton. Lassiter last week, while Milton.

Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when the Eagles and the Trojans meet this week. Milton features well-regarded sophomore Nick Wilson while Lassiter has Eddie Printz, a sought after senior.

The Raiders suffered the largest drop in the standings this week, falling from second to fourth in AAAAAA Region 5.
