Baseball Game Preview: Homer Pelicans vs. LaSalle Tigers

The Homer Pelicans will square off against the LaSalle Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Homer is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs last Saturday, they were much more limited against Haynesville last Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Golden Tornado. The loss continues a trend for the Pelicans in their meetings with the Golden Tornado: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when LaSalle faced off against Glenmora last Monday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 15, 2024.

The win was the third in a row for LaSalle, bringing their record up to 10-13. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Homer, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.
