Volleyball Recap: Northview Comes Up Short

Northview lost against Gilmour Academy back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Lancers, falling 3-0.

While Northview was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-23.

Talia Twigg paced Northview's offense, picking up 15 kills. Twigg got some help from Alayna Sauer and her 29 assists. Twigg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Gilmour Academy found their leader in freshman Avery Martin, who had eight digs and three aces.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Gilmour Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Northview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Southview on the 15th. As for Gilmour Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Maple Heights on the 16th.
