Basketball Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

Mendenhall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 43-33 to the Morton Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Panthers are ranked 22nd).

Mendenhall now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Morton, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

Mendenhall will host Northeast Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mendenhall is facing Northeast Jones at the right time seeing as Northeast Jones is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. Morton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
