Soccer Recap: Western Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Western Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the St. Paul Swordsmen by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Fighting Lancers were red-hot offensively headed into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior) but the Swordsmen's defense proved too tough.

Western Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for St. Paul, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.

Western Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Paul, they will welcome La Quinta at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
