Football Recap: Morenci Comes Up Short

Morenci was the 21-14 winner over Willcox when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 23-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Morenci still got an impressive performance from Julien Aragon, who rushed for 98 yards and one TD.

Morenci now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Willcox, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Morenci will host Bisbee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Willcox, they will head out to face off against Pima at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
