Basketball Game Preview: Silver Lake Eagles vs. Riley County Falcons

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Silver Lake Eagles face off against the Riley County Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Silver Lake will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Sabetha, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Silver Lake narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Sabetha 60-58. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Riley County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Royal Valley on Friday, but they still walked away with a 61-56 win.

Silver Lake's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Riley County, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.

Silver Lake strolled past Riley County when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 53-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Silver Lake since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
