Basketball Game Preview: Summit Spartans vs. Centennial Cougars

Summit is 1-9 against Centennial since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Summit Spartans are taking a road trip to square off against the Centennial Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Summit can't be too worried about heading out to take on Centennial: they just beat Nolensville at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Summit came out on top against Nolensville by a score of 59-51 on Tuesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Centennial didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ravenwood on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win.

Summit's record now sits at 17-9. As for Centennial, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

Summit couldn't quite finish off Centennial in their previous meeting back in January and fell 70-67. Can Summit avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
