Flag Football Recap: Aurora West College Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Aurora West College Prep Academy fell victim to Thornton and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They received a blow as they fell 19-0 to the Trojans. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Destiny Martinez threw for 40 yards. Maria Gutierrez Benitez was her top target, picking up 50 receiving yards.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Thornton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Meanwhile, Thornton will take on rival Mountain View at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
