Recap: Phoenix Military Firebirds vs. Urban Prep-Bronzeville Lions
The Phoenix Military Firebirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Urban Prep-Bronzeville 85-44.
Urban Prep-Bronzeville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davion Worthy, who scored 31 points. Those 31 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Melvin Moore, who scored 22 points.
Phoenix Military's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Urban Prep-Bronzeville, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Phoenix Military will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Little Village at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024. Urban Prep-Bronzeville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Muchin College Prep at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th.
