Volleyball Game Preview: Sunnyside Wildcats vs. McLane Highlanders

After both having extra time off, the Sunnyside Wildcats and the McLane Highlanders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Sunnyside and six for McLane.

Sunnyside lost 3-0 to Sanger last Thursday.

Sunnyside was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24, 25-17.

Meanwhile, McLane came up short against Bullard last Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-9, 25-13.

Sunnyside's defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for McLane, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Sunnyside couldn't quite get it done against McLane when the teams last played back in March as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
