Basketball Recap: Greeneview's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Catholic Central, Greeneview was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They secured a 60-55 W over the Northeastern Jets. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Northeastern's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacoby Newman, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Rhett Lough, who went 5 of 8 en route to 10 points and five rebounds.

With the victory, Greeneview broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Northeastern, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Greeneview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-46 win against Madison Plains on the 17th. As for Northeastern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-59 victory against Triad on the 17th.
