Preview: Friends' Central vs. Germantown Academy Patriots
Friends' Central has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Germantown Academy Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Friends' Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Haverford School scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, Friends' Central still came out on top. Friends' Central skirted past Haverford School 68-65. 68 seems to be a good number for Friends' Central as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Friends' Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Muhsin Muhammad, who scored 19 points. The contest was Muhammad's third in a row with at least ten points. Reid Belcher was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Germantown Academy pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Cardinal O'Hara by a score of 64-61.
Friends' Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Germantown Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went Friends' Central's way against Germantown Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2021 as Friends' Central made off with a 67-45 victory.
