Basketball Recap: Perry Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perry). They came out on top against the Edgewood Warriors by a score of 79-72 on Tuesday. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Warriors are ranked 621st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Perry's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Edgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Perry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-59 victory against Harvey on the 17th. Edgewood has also already played their next game, an 82-56 loss against Jefferson Area on the 17th.
