Volleyball Recap: South Granville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Granville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Carrboro Jaguars. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

South Granville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-14, 25-11, 25-15.

Malena Lee paced South Granville's offense, picking up five kills. Lee got some help from Larah Preddy and her eight assists. Kaytlyn Dickerson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

South Granville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Carrboro, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Granville is set to square off against their familiar foe J.F. Webb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carrboro will challenge rival Orange at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
