Softball Preview: Fordland Eagles vs. Sparta Trojans
Fordland has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sparta Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Fordland had to settle for a 6-5 loss against Conway. That's two games in a row now that Fordland has lost by just one run.
Meanwhile, Sparta stacked an 18th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Conway as Sparta made off with a 13-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sparta.
Addison Humble was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Humble was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and a double.
