Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pearl River). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bogalusa Lumberjacks a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Pearl River's win bumped their record up to 5-8-1. As for Bogalusa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Coming up, Pearl River will face off against Loranger at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bogalusa, they will head out on the road to challenge Mt. Hermon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bogalusa has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
