Parkston hadn't done well against Burke recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Cougars 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Saturday.

Parkston wouldn't go down easily and took Burke into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13, 15-25, 20-25, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Burke saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Breckynn Pistulka had ten digs and ten assists.

Parkston is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season. As for Burke, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-6.

As of now, neither Parkston nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
