Soccer Game Preview: Ridgeland vs. Florence

Ridgeland is 1-6 against Florence since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Titans will square off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m.

Ridgeland is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Neshoba Central last Thursday. The Titans fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 1-0. Ridgeland fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Neshoba Central since last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Florence had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 7-1 win. Florence might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by four goals or more this season.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-3. As for Florence, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Ridgeland might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Florence when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
