 Northeastern Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 17-11 walloping at the hands of the Peru Nighthawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Northeastern Clinton of the  10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Wednesday.
 For Peru's part,  Gabe Moore was a standout: he scored four  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Moore has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.  Zack Engstrom was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Northeastern Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Peru, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that  win, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
