Football Game Preview: Shelbyville Rams vs. Westville Tigers

The Shelbyville Rams will take on the Westville Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Shelbyville has given up an average of 27.6 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 37-6, which was the final score in Shelbyville's tilt against El Paso-Gridley on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Titans are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, Westville strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Iroquois West 52-13. With the Tigers ahead 52-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

This is the second loss in a row for Shelbyville and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Westville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Shelbyville was able to grind out a solid win over Westville in their previous meeting back in November of 2017, winning 51-44. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
