Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon suffered their biggest loss since January 13th on Friday. They were beaten by the Stanwood Spartans 59-23. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Stanwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Coming up, Mount Vernon will square off against Meadowdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stanwood, they will face off against Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stanwood has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three contests.
