Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Watkins Memorial). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Zanesville Blue Devils 69-16. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-16.

Watkins Memorial's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Zanesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Watkins Memorial will square off against rival Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Zanesville is set to take on their familiar foe Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
