The matchup between Reed-Custer and Watseka on Saturday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Comets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 6-5. That's two games straight that Reed-Custer have won by just one goal.

They hit Watseka with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Matthew Kuban (4), Broden Alexander, and Jayden Bustos.

Reed-Custer's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-13-1. As for Watseka, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Reed-Custer will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Momence at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Watseka, they will square off against Hoopeston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
