Basketball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

Montgomery County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by the Treutlen Vikings 100-54. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-57 back in January.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Treutlen, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery County has already played their next contest (against Toombs County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Treutlen will host Emanuel County Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Treutlen has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 257 points over their last three games.
