Football Recap: Maranacook Skates Past Maine Central Institute with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Freeport, Maranacook was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Maine Central Institute Huskies 42-8. The high-scoring effort was just what the Black Bears needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Maranacook moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Maine Central Institute, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Maranacook will challenge Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ramblers' defense has only allowed 5.6 points per game this season, so the Black Bears' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Maine Central Institute, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Poland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
