Softball Recap: Darlington Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Darlington's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Southwestern Wildcats on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Redbirds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Darlington has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Southwestern, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Darlington is set to challenge their familiar foe Iowa-Grant at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southwestern will face off against rival Cuba City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
