            Basketball Recap: Cascade Cadets vs. Christian Academy Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They were four  points away from ending the streak, but they lost a  56-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Christian Academy Warriors.

  Chloe Smith and  Lilly Hall certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss.  Smith  went 6 of 12  on her way to 18  points along with six  boards and five  assists, while  Hall  went 6 for 7  on her way to 16 points and five  rebounds. Smith has been hot recently, having also posted two or more  steals the last four times she's  played.  Taylor Gibbs was another key player,  putting up five points and five  rebounds.
  Leah Stevens was a one-woman wrecking crew for Christian Academy as she  went 8 of 19  on her way to 22  points and eight  boards.  Alexus Bryant was another key player,  posting 11  points and eight  boards.
Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Christian Academy, their record now sits at 4-9.
 Cascade wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  62-29  loss against Danville on the 7th. As for Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to  challenge Crothersville  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
