Kaneland came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Marmion Cadets, falling 5-0. The loss continues a trend for Kaneland in their meetings with Marmion: they've now lost four in a row.

Kaneland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Marmion, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Kaneland will head out to challenge Rockford East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Marmion, they will venture away from home to take on Benet Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
