Baseball Recap: Spruce Mountain Phoenix vs. Madison Bulldogs

Spruce Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Bulldogs. Spruce Mountain was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Madison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

For Madison's part, Griffin Dickey made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Dickey was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
