Recap: Middleton Tigers vs. Walnut Wildcats
The Middleton Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-42 win over Walnut. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Middleton also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2015.
Leading Middleton to victory were Morgan Talley and Harmony Bell. Talley scored 17 points along with eight rebounds, while Bell scored 18 points along with five assists and five steals. The match was Bell's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Kemora Buggs was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Middleton's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Walnut, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middleton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Walnut and Belmont will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
