Basketball Recap: Norcom Comes Up Short

Norcom lost against Maury back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Norcom Greyhounds fell 58-46 to the Maury Commodores. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Commodores are ranked 18th).

Norcom has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Maury, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.

Coming up, Norcom and King's Fork will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Maury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
