Volleyball Recap: Zion-Benton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Zion-Benton can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Dundee-Crown Chargers on Monday. The Zee-Bees' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Dundee-Crown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tori Brents led the charge by getting 14 assists and two aces. Brents is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Zion-Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-23. As for Dundee-Crown, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-17.

As of now, neither Zion-Benton nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
