Softball Recap: Miyamura Gets the Win

The third road game was the charm for Miyamura, as they earned their first away win of the season. They had just enough and edged out the San Juan Broncos 7-6.

Miyamura let Celeste Cano and Shelby Haskie run wild. Cano got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple and one RBI, while Haskie scored a run while going 3-for-4. That triple was Cano's first of the season.

Miyamura was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Miyamura's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for San Juan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Miyamura and San Juan will both be playing Pojoaque Valley the next time they take the field. Miyamura will head out to face Pojoaque Valley at 2:55 p.m. on Friday, while San Juan will head out to face them at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday.
