Volleyball Recap: North Comes Up Short + How To Watch

North extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-3-1. They lost 3-0 to the Garces Memorial Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

As for Garces Memorial, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Garces Memorial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Menta, who had 15 digs and one assist. Menta has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alice Silicz, who had nine digs and eight assists.

North will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bakersfield at 6:15 p.m. on September 9. As for Garces Memorial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Strathmore at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
