Basketball Recap: Asheboro Takes a Loss

Asheboro lost against Ledford last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Asheboro Blue Comets took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ledford Panthers. The game marked the Blue Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ledford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adam Grier out in front who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sean Taylor, who posted ten points.

Asheboro's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Ledford, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Asheboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ledford, they have already played their next match, a 62-53 loss against Oak Grove on the 18th.
