Volleyball Game Preview: Lower Lake Trojans vs. Cloverdale Eagles + How To Watch

Lower Lake hasn't had much luck against Cloverdale recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out to face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, Lower Lake came up short against Clear Lake and fell 3-1. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cardinals 25-14 in the first set.

While Lower Lake ultimately came up short, they really made Clear Lake work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-11, 27-25, 25-19.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Cloverdale and Kelseyville, and Kelseyville kept the tradition alive. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Cloverdale took Kelseyville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The final score came out to 25-14, 16-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Lower Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Cloverdale, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-7.

Lower Lake might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Cloverdale in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
