You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Arrupe Jesuit's strategy against Clear Creek on Tuesday. The Generals came out on top against the Golddiggers by a score of 56-44. That's more bragging rights for the Generals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Arrupe Jesuit got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Yahir Pizarro out in front who posted eight points in addition to 16 rebounds and three steals. What's more, Pizarro also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Manuel Loya was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven steals.

Arrupe Jesuit smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clear Creek only pulled down six.

Loss or not, Clear Creek got some senior leadership from Zephyr Schuessler and Ian Hendrickson. Schuessler almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards, while Hendrickson went 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and five rebounds. That was a full 50% of the Golddiggers' points, marking the fourth time in a row Schuessler has scored more than a third of the team's points.

Arrupe Jesuit has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 67.5 points this season. As for Clear Creek, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arrupe Jesuit will welcome Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clear Creek, they will be home for the holidays to greet West Grand at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
