Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage Christian). They breezed by the Dawson School Mustangs to the tune of 81-17 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won three contests in a row.

Madilyn Buehrlen had an outrageously good game as she went 6 for 8 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Cadence Smith, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 15 points and six assists.

Heritage Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Heritage Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Dawson School, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Heritage Christian will square off against Flatirons Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st. Heritage Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Dawson School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-34 defeat against Bishop Machebeuf on the 16th.
